Kurt De Vlam is an Assistant Professor at KU Leuven, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Development and Regeneration. He conducts research at the Skeletal Biology and Engineering Research Center (ON2 Herestraat 49) and serves as a senior academic council member for both the Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Development and Regeneration.
His primary research explores psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, e-health applications, and bone metabolism disorders. Key investigations include metabolic challenges in autoimmune diseases, digital health validation for chronic conditions, and epidemiological studies of spondyloarthritis in DR Congo.
