Kulwinder Maude is an Assistant Professor (Teaching) at Durham University's School of Education. She is a Fellow of the Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing. With over 24 years in education spanning primary schools in England and India, higher education in the UK, and international consulting, her expertise lies in teacher education, EAL pedagogy, and teacher wellbeing. She teaches English on undergraduate/postgraduate Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs and at the master’s level.
Her doctoral research focuses on teacher mental health and wellbeing at Durham University. Research interests include cross-cultural transitions of beginning teacher educators, EAL support strategies, and addressing barriers in inclusive education. She has presented at conferences like AERA, BERA, and ICET, emphasizing global perspectives on teacher development and assessment practices in ITE.
