Krzysztof Liberek

Krzysztof Liberek is a Full Professor and Head of the Department of Protein Biochemistry at the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology (University of Gdańsk and Medical University of Gdańsk). His research focuses on molecular chaperones, particularly Hsp70 system proteins and their role in protein disaggregation. With over three decades of research, his work bridges biochemistry and cellular stress response mechanisms.
