Kristin Mansell, Ph.D., is a Research Professor in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at Texas Tech University's College of Education. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership Policy (2023) from Texas Tech, an M.A. in Secondary Science Education (2005) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a B.A. in Classics (2004) from the University of Alabama.
Her research focuses on STEM teacher labor markets, science education, and blended learning initiatives. Key areas include enhancing teacher efficacy through professional learning communities and evaluating the impact of formative assessment on pedagogy. Mansell has contributed to state-level policy analysis, such as the Texas Math Innovation Zones (MIZ) program, which integrates blended learning to improve math proficiency in grades PreK–8. She also examines the effects of Texas House Bill 5 on STEM course-taking and career pathways.
