Kristie Harrison is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA Augusta Campus). She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Walden University (2014) and is pursuing a PhD in Nursing Education, expected to complete by 2023. Her professional journey includes seven years in a small community hospital, followed by roles in home health nursing, emphasizing proactive care and patient education.
Her research interests focus on nursing education methodologies and improving healthcare accessibility in underserved communities. Outside academia, she values family, enjoys swimming, and has explored gardening, aiming to expand her vegetable garden in 2021. She is accompanied by her dog Lulu, who adds both joy and challenges to her life.
