Teresa Davies serves as a Senior Lecturer in Nursing at Wrexham University, where she has taught since 2018. Her professional background includes extensive NHS experience beginning in 2001 as a Health Care Support Worker, followed by qualification as a registered nurse in 2006. She held diverse clinical roles at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB), including staff nurse at Ysbyty Gwynedd, community nurse, district nurse, discharge liaison nurse, Macmillan end of life care facilitator, and Band 7 Diabetes Specialist nurse in primary care.
Her expertise centers on community-based nursing practices with specialized focus areas in chronic disease management and palliative care. The integration of her clinical experience in diabetes care and end-of-life services informs her teaching approach, emphasizing practical application in primary care settings and holistic patient management strategies.
Outside academia, Teresa maintains an active lifestyle that includes hiking in the mountains with her Labrador Bailey, yoga practice, cold water swimming, and recently taking up paddle boarding. She enjoys relaxing with Columbo episodes accompanied by strong coffee.
