Dr. Kristel Thomassin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Guelph, within the College of Social & Applied Human Sciences. Her research focuses on child emotional development, particularly how family systems influence emotion skill development and their role in child psychopathology. She aims to translate this knowledge into clinical practice to improve youth mental health outcomes. Dr. Thomassin holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Georgia and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University.
