Dr. Ellen Louise Lipman is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University and currently serves as Chief of the Department of Child Psychiatry at McMaster Children’s Hospital. Her clinical work focuses on consultation to outpatient services within the Child and Youth Mental Health Program. Her research interests include single-parent families, teen mothers, disadvantaged children, group therapies, and epidemiological studies in child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Lipman has been actively publishing since 1982, with over 66 publications across disciplines such as child psychiatry, epidemiology, and family therapy.
