Stephanie Craig is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. She is a registered Clinical Psychologist with expertise in child, adolescent, and family mental health. Her research focuses on the development and treatment of severe behavioral and emotional problems in youth, particularly callous-unemotional (CU) traits and the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).

Dr. Craig’s research integrates subjective and objective (e.g., physiological) measures of emotion regulation to explore mechanisms underlying CU traits and behavioral disorders. Her work includes collaborations with community agencies like the Stop Now and Plan (SNAP) program and the Syl Apps Youth Centre (Kinark Child and Youth Services). She also led the Teens @ Home During COVID project, examining pandemic-related stressors on youth mental health.
Her recent publications highlight themes in emotion regulation, CU traits, and ACEs. She supervises graduate students and partners with community stakeholders to translate research into practical interventions. Dr. Craig has received funding from SSHRC, CFI, CIHR, and PHAC to support her work.
