Maria A. Rogers is an Associate Professor and Tier II Canada Research Chair in Child and Youth Mental Health and Well-being at Carleton University's Department of Psychology within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. She combines mental health and education research to study how teacher-student, parent-child, and teacher-parent relationships influence children's emotional and academic development, particularly for at-risk populations.

Her research focuses on relational health in neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., ADHD), chronic absenteeism in post-pandemic contexts, and culturally sensitive support for Indigenous children and youth. She co-founded the Canadian School Attendance Partnership (CSAP) and collaborates with Indigenous communities and educators in Ottawa-Gatineau.
