Dr. Krista R. Muis is a James McGill Professor and Program Director in the Faculty of Education at McGill University, leading the eMUIS Lab focused on epistemic cognition, emotion, and self-regulated learning in STEM contexts. Her research explores how emotions and epistemic beliefs influence learning outcomes, particularly in mathematics, science, and socio-scientific issues like climate change and vaccinations. She holds a Ph.D. from Simon Fraser University and has been recognized with prestigious awards including the James McGill Professorship (2023-2030) and 2020 Fellow of APA Division 15.
