Dr. Brenda Jacobs is an Associate Teaching Professor at Ontario Tech University's Mitch and Leslie Frazer Faculty of Education. She holds dual PhDs from York University and has extensive teaching experience in Canada and internationally. Her research focuses on self-regulation, inquiry-based learning, and emergent curriculum in early childhood education. She leads the CDIE-funded 'Digital Play Framework for Early Learners' project and previously contributed to SSHRC research on social competence in preschoolers. Her 2022 book bridges self-regulation theory with classroom practice.
