Krista D. Glazewski

Krista D. Glazewski serves as Executive Director of the William and Ida Friday Institute for Educational Innovation and Associate Dean for Translational Research at NC State University's College of Education. Previously, she was a Professor and Chair of Instructional Systems Technology at Indiana University's School of Education. Her expertise includes problem-based learning, teacher professional development, and instructional design leveraging foundational and emergent technologies.

Glazewski’s research focuses on scaffolding complex problem-solving in K-12 education, military training, and engineering contexts. She leads the NSF AI Institute for Engaged Learning as senior personnel, advancing AI-driven educational innovations. With over 70 publications and $10 million in external funding from NSF, US Department of Education, and Department of Defense, her work emphasizes scalable teacher adaptation of new pedagogical practices.
