Dr. Krishna Singh is an Associate Professor at Western University, cross-appointed in Medical Biophysics. He holds research grants from CIHR and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. His research focuses on cardiovascular diseases, autophagy, DNA damage repair, and endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition. His work has been published in top-tier journals like Nature Communications and Human Mutation.
Dr. Singh earned his PhD in Molecular Medicine from Hannover Medical School (Germany) through the International MD/PhD Program. His research bridges molecular mechanisms and translational medicine, with a focus on identifying therapeutic targets for cardiovascular and neurodevelopmental disorders. He has received prestigious awards, including the Vivien Thomas Young Investigator Award and the National New Investigator Award.
His recent publications emphasize endothelial dysfunction, autism-related neural mechanisms, and fatty acid binding proteins' roles in disease. His work spans cardiovascular pathophysiology, cancer biology, and stem cell modeling of neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Singh collaborates widely, contributing to both basic science and clinical applications in medicine.
