Kris E. Lane holds the France Vinton Scholes Chair in Colonial Latin American History at Tulane University. Research explores extractive industries in Colombia, Ecuador, and Bolivia, with current projects on the Great Potosí Mint Fraud of 1649 and the Basque-Vicuña War.
