Dr. Kranti Dugar is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s College of Business, where he teaches courses in global marketing, consumer behavior, and new product development. He holds a Ph.D. in Research Methods & Statistics (with a Marketing cognate) from the University of Denver, an M.B.A. from Ohio University, and a B.Sc. from Christ College (Bangalore University, India). His research focuses on deconsumption, equity/diversity/inclusion, technology-consumer interaction, and sustainable consumption. He leads international immersion programs, including a recent project with Afghan refugees in Wisconsin.
Dr. Dugar has received awards for teaching excellence, including the Chuck Tomkovick Award (2021) and the UW-MBA Consortium’s Outstanding Faculty Award (2024). His work bridges academic research and practical impact, with publications in Journal of Business Research, Psychological Assessment, and Journal of Higher Education Management. He actively collaborates with organizations like Mayo Clinic and the United Nations, integrating real-world challenges into teaching and research.
Key grants include a 2022 Student/Faculty Research Collaboration grant on refugee community engagement and a 2020 UWEC grant for smart object consumer perception studies. His professional memberships span the American Marketing Association, AAC&U, and Beta Gamma Sigma.
