Korhan Başaran serves as a Guest Instructor in the Department of Theater at Bilkent University and is the Artistic Director of his company RAu.
His academic credentials include:
- BA in Theater from Bilkent University
- MBA in Art Management from Yeditepe University
His artistic research centers on Theater and Dance, with specialized focus on Choreography and Art Management. With a decade-long professional career in Turkey followed by work in New York City, he performed with the Repertory Group of the Cunningham Company under Robert Swinston and collaborated with choreographers across Istanbul and NYC. His commissioned works for organizations like BAM’s Dance Motion USA, Nimbus Dance Works, and MDT reflect innovative cross-cultural theatrical expression.
Başaran leads RAu, his artistic company, and has directed productions for institutions including Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Akbank Sanat, and Tatbikat Sahnesi, demonstrating active engagement in both educational and professional theater ecosystems.
