Koon-Hwee Kan is an Associate Professor of Art Education at the School of Art, Kent State University. She holds a Doctor of Education and Master of Arts in Art Education from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Her research focuses on intercultural education, distance learning through technology, preservice teacher education, and qualitative methodologies like visual narrative inquiry. She emphasizes global-local connections in the visual arts and has coordinated the KSU Art Enrichment for Young People program for 17 years.
