معرفی
Dr. Konstantin Faershteyn is an Ion Beam Laboratory Coordinator at the Central Analytical Research Facility (CARF) and Researcher in the School of Chemistry and Physics at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He holds a PhD in Materials Science from the National University of Science and Technology "MISIS" (2017), specializing in nanomaterial synthesis and advanced electron microscopy. His research focuses on nanomaterials characterization, in situ TEM analysis, and energy materials development. With over 1000 citations and an h-index of 18, his work spans MXenes, catalytic nanohybrids, and composite materials for energy storage. Faershteyn also contributes to teaching units like PVB301 (Materials and Thermal Physics) and PVB321 (Experimental Nanotechnology). His memberships include the Australian Microscopy and Microanalysis Society and the Australian Nanotechnology Network.
Research Interests:
- Advanced electron microscopy and in situ TEM techniques
- 2D nanomaterials (e.g., MXenes, graphene) and their applications
- Mechanical properties of nanocomposites and nanomaterials
- Energy materials for batteries and supercapacitors
- Catalytic nanohybrids for CO₂ conversion and hydrogenation
Publications Trends: His recent work emphasizes MXene-based composites for energy storage (e.g., zinc-ion batteries), thermal stability of nanomaterials, and plasma-enhanced synthesis. Key themes include optimizing electrode materials, suppressing dendrite formation, and studying material behavior under extreme conditions (e.g., high-pressure phases via laser irradiation).
Affiliations & Labs: Active in CARF for ion beam applications and collaborates with Prof. Golberg’s ARC Laureate Project. Engaged in QUT’s nanotechnology teaching and research teams.
