Kjersti Beate Rørstad Welle is a PhD candidate and Research Fellow at the University of Oslo's Department of Teacher Education and School Research within the Faculty of Educational Sciences. Her work focuses on educational leadership, governance, curriculum studies, and learning processes. Previously, she served as a teacher, middle manager, and principal in primary schools (2013–2023) before pursuing a Master’s in Educational Leadership (University of Oslo, 2018–2022).
Her research explores collaboration between school leaders and municipal authorities in implementing educational reforms like the new Norwegian curriculum LK20. She contributed to the EVA2020 project, analyzing how schools and municipalities adapt to curricular changes. Her doctoral project investigates educational leadership in disruptive times, examining how institutions handle crises in Norway’s educational context.
