Ane Nordal

Ane Nordal serves as a PhD Research Fellow at the Department of Nordic and Media Studies, University of Agder. Trained as a primary school teacher with professional experience in both kindergarten and primary school settings, she holds a master's degree in Nordic Literature and is currently specializing in linguistics.

Specifically, her doctoral thesis examines how teachers' professional agency is shaped by Stortingsmelding 28 (a key government white paper) and the LK20 national curriculum, analyzing how educators interpret and implement these policies in daily practice. She has also contributed significantly to educational infrastructure through her work on the room and function program for Tvedestrand municipality's new primary school, completed in autumn 2023, which intentionally aligns architectural design with LK20 principles to foster creative, exploratory learning environments both inside and outside traditional classrooms.
