Kitty W.M. Bloemenkamp is a Full Professor in the Department of Obstetrics at the University Medical Centre Utrecht, Netherlands, and chairs the Birth Centre at Wilhelmina’s Children Hospital. Her career spans academic and clinical roles including Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist and leadership in the Dutch Consortium for Healthcare Evaluation and Research in Obstetrics and Gynecology (NVOG Consortium 2.0).

Her research focuses on global maternal health, examining women's health across reproductive lifecycles—from preconception to postpartum—and long-term consequences of pregnancy complications. Key areas include maternal mortality/morbidity, antithrombotic therapy safety, and pandemic-era perinatal care.
Recent publications address COVID-19 vaccination efficacy in pregnancy, RSV vaccine safety, and anticoagulant trends in Dutch maternity care. Collaborative work spans institutions in the Netherlands, UK, and international networks.
