Assoc/Prof Michelle Giles is an Associate Professor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Monash University, affiliated with Monash Health Centre for Inflammatory Disease. Her roles include clinical practice, medical education, and research leadership. She specializes in infectious diseases during pregnancy, particularly managing blood-borne viruses (HIV, hepatitis B/C) and maternal immunisation strategies.
Education:
- PhD in Medicine: 'Women HIV and Reproduction in Australia' (Monash University, 2004–2009)
Research Interests: Focuses on improving maternal and neonatal health outcomes via evidence-based clinical management.
