Kishwar Ali is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Biology at the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences (HAS), University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). With a PhD in Biological Sciences and MSc degrees in Applied GIS and Botany, alongside teaching qualifications (QTLS, DTLLS), they bridge environmental research, geospatial analysis, and botanical studies.
Research Interests: Their work focuses on soil contamination near industrial sites and ethnobotanical practices in Pakistan. Key areas include GIS applications in environmental monitoring, ecological risk assessment, and conservation of traditional plant knowledge.
Recent Publications: Dr. Ali's 2024 study on heavy metal pollution in Malakand, Pakistan, highlights industrial impacts on ecosystems. Their 2018 work on Swat Valley's ethnobotanical domain underscores the intersection of botany and cultural heritage in South Asia.
