Kira Klaner is a Researcher in the Department of Computer Science Education at the Institute for Mathematics, Mathematics Education and Computer Science Education (IMAI), University of Hildesheim. She has served as a research assistant in the Pioneer project since May 2025, focusing on advancing computer science teacher education and curriculum innovation within the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Economics and Computer Science.

Her work in the Pioneer project addresses systemic challenges in computer science education, particularly gender diversity initiatives and modernizing instructional approaches for K-12 settings. She actively collaborates within the Computer Science Didactics working group to develop evidence-based teaching frameworks.
As a core contributor to the institute's public engagement initiatives, Klaner participates in the "Arbeitskreis Schulen im digitalen Wandel" (Working Group on Schools in Digital Transformation), facilitating university-school partnerships across Hildesheim. She co-organizes regional events including the "Tag der Informatiklehrerinnen und -lehrer" (Computer Science Teachers' Day) for Lower Saxony and Bremen, focusing on practical implementation of digital curricula.
