Kinga Koranyi is a PhD candidate and Research Fellow at the Hertie School, currently working on the PerzepEU project under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Markus Jachtenfuchs. Her research focuses on welfare policy transfers in a comparative framework across Canada, Switzerland, and the United States to inform the EU’s cohesion agenda. She holds a BA in History and Political Science from McGill University and an MA in European Studies (European Policy) from the University of Amsterdam.

Kinga’s research interests center on European integration, cohesion policy, EU rule of law debates, and contemporary Hungarian politics. Her work analyzes fiscal redistribution negotiations and policy transfer mechanisms, aiming to provide design options for the EU Cohesion Fund. She has published one article (2023) on framing strategies in fiscal redistribution.
As a Research Fellow, she contributes to the Hertie School’s academic community through her involvement in the PerzepEU project and doctoral research.
