Kimberly Zainea is an Associate Professor of Kinesiology and Assistant Coach for Women’s Softball at Cornerstone University. She has served the institution for over 30 years, combining academic instruction with athletic leadership. Her roles include Faculty Athletic Representative, overseeing academic eligibility for all student-athletes, and supervising internships for Exercise Science majors.

- Ed.D. Candidate in Physical Education and Teacher Education, West Virginia University
Her research focuses on motor development and physical fitness in children, supported by coursework in kinesiology principles and motor learning. She teaches courses such as History and Principles of Kinesiology and actively contributes to the academic community through roles like Faculty Senate member and NAIA Council of Faculty Athletic Representatives.
Awards highlight her dual excellence in teaching and coaching, including the Teaching Excellence Award (2013) and two WHAC Coach of the Year honors (1999, 2002). She is active in professional organizations such as the American College of Sports Medicine.
Her campus involvement extends to committees like the CU Athletic Hall of Honor and Faculty-Staff Athletic Advisory Committee. Beyond academia, she enjoys woodworking, gardening, and reading.
