Dr. Kimberly M. Sheridan is Associate Professor of Educational Psychology at George Mason University's College of Education and Human Development. She holds an Ed.D. from Harvard University.
Her research explores creativity development through arts education, maker movements, and studio-based learning environments. Sheridan investigates how visual arts pedagogies foster critical thinking and how maker spaces promote resourcefulness across diverse communities.
She co-authored the influential 'Studio Thinking' series which documents cognitive benefits of visual arts education. Current projects examine digital fabrication in K-12 settings and equity issues in maker education.
