Kimberly Kramer is a Professor and G.E. Johnson Construction Science Chair at Kansas State University’s Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science within the College of Engineering. With a B.S. (1989), M.E. (1999), and Ph.D. (2020) from K-State and UT Arlington, her expertise spans structural engineering, concrete systems, and sustainable construction. She has held licenses in multiple states and co-owns KDK Engineering, LLC, focusing on structural consulting.

Research Interests:

Advising & Grants:
Directed K-State’s AE graduate program (2006–2022) and advised student teams (ACI/SEAKM) achieving top 3 placements 6 times in a decade. Active in professional organizations including ACI, serving on national committees like the Education Activity Committee and Tilt-up Concrete Construction.
Professional Involvement:
Appointed to Kansas’ State Board of Technical Professionals (2019) and promotes structural engineering advocacy through teaching and industry partnerships.
