Kimberley Trapp is a Professor of Public International Law and Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Laws, University College London (UCL). She previously served as Vice-Dean (International) from 2018-2022. Her roles include academic advising on international humanitarian and human rights law with NGOs and government departments, and editorial leadership for journals like the Cambridge International Law Journal and Journal on the Use of Force and International Law.

Research Interests: Focus on State responsibility, use of force, international humanitarian law, terrorism suppression, and international dispute settlement. Her work bridges legal theory and practice, informed by clerkships at the International Court of Justice and her monograph State Responsibility for International Terrorism (OUP, 2011).
Key Contributions: Awarded the Cambridge Yorke Prize for her doctoral thesis, which underpins her influential monograph and UN Audio Visual Library lecture. Active in academic networks, including co-editing OUP's 'Elements of International Law' series.
