Dr James Manwaring is a Teaching Professor at Homerton College, part of the University of Cambridge's Faculty of Law. He holds an LLB from Warwick University and advanced degrees (BCL, MPhil, DPhil) from Oxford University. His research focuses on criminal law theory, including incapacity doctrines, self-defence, complicity, and homicide. He is affiliated with the Cambridge Centre for Criminal Justice (CCCJ) and has published in journals such as the Criminal Law Review and Cambridge Law Journal. He also teaches tort law and engages in legal and moral philosophy.
