Kim Brooks is the President and Vice-Chancellor of Dalhousie University and holds dual appointments as Professor of Law at the Schulich School of Law and Professor of Accounting at the Rowe School of Business. She earned her BA from the University of Toronto, LLB from the University of British Columbia, LLM from Osgoode Hall, and PhD from the University of Western Australia. A renowned tax law scholar, her research focuses on corporate and international income taxation, tax administration, and distributive justice. She has received prestigious teaching awards including the 3M National Teaching Fellowship and multiple accolades from McGill, UBC, and Queen's University. Her service roles include former Dean of Schulich School of Law, leadership in the Canadian Tax Foundation, and advisory roles with the Canada Revenue Agency. Brooks emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to taxation's role in societal and economic change.
