Kim Bak Jensen

Kim Bak Jensen is a Professor and Deputy Director at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine (reNEW), University of Copenhagen. He leads the Jensen Lab focusing on stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. Previously held positions include Group Leader at the Biotech Research & Innovation Centre (2013-2021) and University of Cambridge (2010-2014).

His research explores molecular mechanisms governing stem cell fate specification, integration of extracellular signals with gene regulatory networks, and cellular plasticity in epithelial tissues. Key areas include:

• Regenerative therapy development
