Dr. Khaled Keshk is an Associate Professor in the Religious Studies Department at DePaul University's College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. His research focuses on early Islamic historiography, hagiography, Jewish-Muslim relations (622–1200 CE), and the historical imagination of modern Islamist movements. He teaches courses such as Introduction to Islam, Islamist Political Movements, and Shi'ite Islam.
His work includes a monograph, *The Historians' Mu'awiya: The Depiction of Mu'awiya in the Early Islamic Sources* (2008), and peer-reviewed articles in journals like *Journal of Islamic Studies* and *Journal of Near Eastern Studies*.
