Ahmed Abid serves as an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University's School of Computing, leveraging extensive industry experience in machine learning engineering across healthcare, intelligence, technology, finance, and consulting sectors.
Education:

- M.S. in Computer Science (in progress), Georgia Institute of Technology
His research spans Machine Learning Infrastructure, Scalable Systems, and Big Data Analytics, with expertise in ML system design, natural language processing, and massive data ingestion pipelines. Current work focuses on cloud-based distributed computing frameworks for real-time analytics.
Professor Abid teaches CSC 555 Mining Big Data and DSC 333 Introduction to Big Data Processing across multiple sections (701, 741, 801, 841, 901, 910) throughout academic years 2023-2026, with office hours published on D2L for student advising.
