Hani Abu-Salem serves as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Computing at DePaul University, where he has taught since 2001. His expertise spans Databases, Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, Data Sciences, and Networking.

- B.S. in Computer Science, Yarmouk University, Jordan (1984)
Prior to DePaul, he spent ten years at Mu'tah University in Jordan, serving as Chairman of the Computer Sciences Department in 1997. His research focuses on database technologies, cross-language systems, and IT security implementations. Dr. Abu-Salem actively contributes to the IT community through publications and peer reviews in technical journals and conferences. His teaching portfolio includes core database courses such as CSC 352/452 (Database Programming), IS 451 (Database Design), and IT 240 (Introduction to Databases), with documented instruction from 2001 through 2024.
