Kevin Sellars

Kevin Sellars is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Design + Merchandising at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts. With over 30 years of industry experience, he has worked with prominent fashion companies including Nautica Apparel, Kenneth Cole, J.Crew, and Gap, as well as accessories brand Rebel Designs.

Sellars' research examines the historical influence of military uniforms on global menswear design. His professional background informs a practice-based approach to fashion pedagogy, integrating technical design skills with industry knowledge.

Prior to joining VCU, Sellars taught at Virginia Commonwealth University's campus in Doha, Qatar, further expanding his cross-cultural perspectives on fashion education.
