Kevin Levine

Kevin Levine is an Assistant Professor at Marshall University, holding dual affiliations in the Lewis College of Business (Department of Marketing, MIS, and Entrepreneurship) and the School of Music. He concurrently serves as a practicing attorney in Nashville, Tennessee, specializing in entertainment law, copyright, trademark, and business law through his firm, L. Kevin Levine, PLLC. Recognized by the West Virginia State Bar as a trained mediator, he integrates legal and business expertise with music industry knowledge.

Educated at Marshall University (BBA, Marketing; MBA), he earned his JD from West Virginia University College of Law, where he served as Executive Research Editor of the West Virginia Law Review. He also holds a Specialist Certificate in Music Business from Berklee College of Music Extension School. Prior to law school, he was Director of Sales and Marketing at The Pied Piper, Inc., a top U.S. music retailer.

His research focuses on entrepreneurship, legal environments, and the intersection of music and business. He teaches courses in entrepreneurship, marketing, management, commercial music, and music history. Active in community service, he maintains a personal passion for music as a percussionist.
