Michelle J. Miller serves as Assistant Clinical Professor and Director of the Intellectual Property, Entertainment and Entrepreneurship Law Clinic at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology since fall 2024. With over 20 years of legal experience spanning corporate in-house counsel roles and legal entrepreneurship, she immerses students in transactional practice focused on soft intellectual property and business strategy for innovators and entrepreneurs.

Professor Miller's expertise centers on Intellectual Property Law (trademark, copyright, trade secrets) integrated with Business Law, Entertainment Law, and Entrepreneurship Law. Her practice extends to International Business Law, Contract Law, and Regulatory Compliance, with emerging focus on Technology, AI, and Privacy Law. She emphasizes strategic IP portfolio development as critical for business growth and market expansion, drawing from extensive international experience across South Africa, Russia, Singapore, and other global markets.
As Clinic Director, Miller leads a transactional legal team providing trademark clearances, filings, prosecution, copyright assistance, IP audits, contract negotiation, entity formation, and regulatory compliance services to entrepreneurs and entertainers. Her clinical program bridges theoretical knowledge with real-world business challenges in media, entertainment, and startup ecosystems.
Miller mentors law students through hands-on clinic participation while maintaining active legal practice. Her career includes 12+ years as multinational corporate in-house counsel advising C-suite executives on global operations, followed by founding The Billionaires Law Firm® to serve entrepreneurs. She holds additional certifications in Financial Analysis (Harvard), Business Writing (DePaul), and Chinese Law (Duquesne).
