معرفی
Dr. Kevin Gobeske is an Associate Research Scientist in Neuroscience at Yale School of Medicine, affiliated with the Nenad Sestan Lab. He holds an MD, PhD in Neuroscience (Northwestern University), an MPH in Epidemiology (UC Berkeley), and a BS in Biology (Yale). His research focuses on neuroprotection mechanisms in severe brain injury, cellular recovery post-ischemia, and advancing bedside MRI technologies for stroke and critical care diagnostics. He combines clinical expertise in neurocritical care with translational neuroscience, aiming to bridge lab discoveries with patient care. Dr. Gobeske has conducted global health projects with the WHO and Doctors Without Borders, emphasizing real-world applications of neuroscientific insights.
- Education:
- BS Biology, Yale University (1999)
- MPH Epidemiology, UC Berkeley (2001)
- MD/PhD Neuroscience, Northwestern University (2012)
- Research Interests: Neuroprotection, brain injury mechanisms, portable MRI innovations, adult neurogenesis, and regenerative medicine. His work spans preclinical models to clinical applications, including studies on ischemia recovery and primate brain development.
His lab collaborates extensively on projects such as the developmental GTEx initiative and low-field MRI systems for bedside use. Dr. Gobeske’s global health experience informs his focus on scalable neurodiagnostic solutions for resource-limited settings.
