Kevin Burke

Kevin Burke serves as Senior Lecturer and Programme Lead in the Faculty of Health & Wellbeing at the University of Bolton, leading three Master's programs: MSc Social Care, Health and Wellbeing; MA Community Development and Youth Studies; and MA Early Childhood Studies. His teaching spans postgraduate specialist modules and undergraduate Community Development courses.

Dr. Burke's research centers on social justice, urban renewal, housing policy, and community leadership dynamics, with doctoral work specifically analyzing Greater Manchester renewal projects' socio-economic impacts. His work bridges academic theory and practical urban governance through community development frameworks and co-operative models.

Professional recognition includes Fellowship in the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) for teaching excellence.

He provides comprehensive student supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels while contributing to university governance through the Partnership Panel and external examiner roles. His academic service extends to the Faculty research group and partner institution collaborations.
