British-Indian pianist Keval Shah is a Lecturer of Lied at the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki, and is celebrated as a pioneering collaborative artist bridging Western classical and Indian musical traditions. He has performed at prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall, Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, and Aldeburgh Festival.
- Education: BA and MA in Music from Trinity Hall, Cambridge, and Royal Academy of Music (DipRAM, 2017)
His research and performance interests focus on dissolving boundaries between classical music and diverse traditions like Hindustani and Gujarati folk music, while integrating philosophy, literature, and spirituality into his practice. Recent highlights include recitals with Karita Mattila and Roderick Williams, as well as serving as official pianist for the Wigmore Hall International Song Competition since 2019.
