Kerstin Vaughn is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre and Dance at the College of Wooster. She holds an MFA in Performance and Pedagogy from Texas Tech University, focusing on inclusive pedagogy, somatics, voice/speech techniques, and directing. Her work emphasizes expressive movement and vocal energy in storytelling, informed by studies in intimacy choreography, Japanese Butoh dance, and Laban-Bartenieff Movement Analysis.
Recent roles include directing Julius Caesar at Texas A&M Commerce (teaching intermediate acting), Hairspray (Moonlight Musicals), Anansi the Spider (Lexington Children’s Theatre), and The Box of Stories (National High School Institute at Northwestern University). She prioritizes new play development and interdisciplinary approaches to theatre.
