Dr. Kerryn Carter is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at the Cumming School of Medicine (CSM), University of Calgary. As of January 2025, she serves as the Department Head for both the CSM and Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone. A pediatric anesthesiologist and acute/complex pain physician, Dr. Carter has held leadership roles including Section Chief of Pediatric Anesthesia at Alberta Children’s Hospital (ACH) and Deputy Head of the department. She leads initiatives in anesthesia care, fellowship training, and clinical governance.
