Dr Kerry Bristol is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies, University of Leeds. Her academic work focuses on British and Irish architectural history between 1600 and 1840, with particular emphasis on Neo-Classicism, patronage, and women's roles as patrons and consumers in the long eighteenth century.

Her research explores architectural historiography, country house culture spanning from the Elizabethan era to their modern role as museums, and the evolution of the architectural profession. She is currently working on a book about everyday life in the eighteenth century at Nostell Priory.
Dr Bristol's teaching includes modules on British architectural history, the Grand Tour, and country house culture and collections. She actively collaborates with professional organizations such as the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain and the World Monuments Fund.
