Kenneth C. Anderson

Kenneth C. Anderson, MD, is the Kraft Family Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Director of the LeBow Institute for Myeloma Therapeutics and Jerome Lipper Multiple Myeloma Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He holds additional roles as Doris Duke Distinguished Clinical Research Scientist and American Cancer Society Clinical Research Professor. His expertise spans hematology, medical oncology, and tumor immunology, with a focus on multiple myeloma research and therapy. Dr. Anderson graduated from Johns Hopkins Medical School, completed residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and trained in hematology/oncology at Dana-Farber.

His research has revolutionized myeloma therapy through models of tumor microenvironment interactions, leading to FDA-approved targeted and immune therapies. Key areas include protein catabolism (e.g., proteasome inhibitors), tumor microenvironment modulation, immunotherapy (e.g., monoclonal antibodies), and genomic/epigenomic profiling for personalized treatment.
