Kendall Buster is a Professor of Sculpture + Extended Media at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts. Her artistic practice creates large-scale sculptures inspired by architectural environments and biological forms, exhibited internationally at venues including the Hirshhorn Museum, Mattress Factory, and KZNSA Gallery.
Research interests integrate art with scientific principles, particularly biological morphologies and spatial design. She received the American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in 2005 and was featured on NPR's Morning Edition discussing art-science intersections.
Education includes an MFA in Sculpture from Yale University, participation in the Whitney Museum's Independent Study Program, a BFA from Corcoran College of Art and Design, and a BS in Medical Technology from University of Alabama. No student advising or grant details are provided.
