Kelly Young

Dr. Kelly Young is an Associate Professor of Communication and Associate Dean at Wayne State University’s College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts. He teaches courses in argumentation, persuasion, and rhetoric at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including COM 2000, COM 2110, and advanced seminars on rhetorical criticism and language studies.

Dr. Young’s research focuses on public memory, social protest rhetoric, and forensic pedagogy. His work explores how argumentation frameworks apply to political discourse, Indigenous activism, and legal decisions.
