Kelly Soderstrom is a Lecturer and Research Fellow in the School of Business at UNSW Canberra. Her interdisciplinary research spans public policy, corporate social responsibility, refugee governance, and institutional ethics. She investigates how organizations navigate social, political, and economic boundaries, particularly in asylum governance and merit-based public sector HR practices.

Her work bridges philosophical frameworks with applied analysis to examine state responsibilities in asylum governance, NGO roles in humanitarian protection, and the social construction of merit in public administration. She contributes to academic journals and media platforms like The Conversation, focusing on refugee policy, sustainability, and ethical governance.
Recent publications include analyses of human rights threats in citizenship deprivation and CSR trends in management accounting. She leads the project "Humanitarian Protection and Organisational Responsibility: Sports-based NGOs as Brokers of Asylum" and collaborates on "Merit 2.0" with ANZSOG and the ACT government.
