Dr. Kelly M. Kapic is a Professor of Theological Studies at Covenant College since 2001. He holds a PhD in Systematic and Historical Theology from King’s College, University of London (2001), an MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary (1998), and a BA from Wheaton College (1995). His research focuses on Theological Anthropology, Christology, and Trinitarian Studies, alongside Modern Theology and the theology of John Owen. He emphasizes interdisciplinary engagement within Christian Liberal Arts education to foster theological rigor and faithful practice.
His authored books have garnered significant recognition, including Christianity Today awards and the Southwestern Journal of Theology’s Applied Theology Award. Notable works include You’re Only Human (2022), Becoming Whole (2019), and Embodied Hope (2017). These volumes explore themes of human flourishing, cultural engagement, and pastoral theology through a biblical lens.
Dr. Kapic’s teaching and scholarship reflect a commitment to integrating faith and learning. He actively speaks at churches and conferences, advocating for theology that bridges orthodoxy and practical lived experience. Beyond academia, he enjoys soccer, action films (e.g., Bourne series), and family-centered hobbies like slow meals and walks.
